About Athlete
My name is Céleste, I’m a 15-year-old golfer and I live in Geneva, Switzerland. I’m passionate about the game and started playing at 7, but my parents weren’t playing golf, so I had to convince them first, which took a few months! I have 3 siblings, two dogs and come from a Swiss and Italian family. I speak 4 languages, Italian and French being my mother tongues, German and English being taught early at school.
In 2019 I became the Swiss U12 Champion, and then had the privilege to be admitted in the Swiss National training groups. I played in several international events, both Junior and Women, and was ranked first on the Swiss Junior scoreboard U14 at the end 2021, and I won the swiss U14 final. In 2022, I had to make a break from competing for health issues during the first half of the season, but when I came back, I won an U18 event and entered the WAGR mid-August 2022. My WHS handicap is currently +0,2, and I’m committed to continue to stand up for my passion. I’m actually ranked 11/1090 Girls U15 players by the French golf federation and 9th/29 Girls U16 by the Swiss Golf association. Academically, I’m in a school which offers a double diploma at the end of High School: International Baccalaureate and Swiss Maturity. I chose to do both, to expand my way of learning and because I wanted to experiment another way of thinking. My graduation year is 2024 but I’m willing to enroll in 2025, my dream being to attend a college where both the academics and the golfing aim to excel.

What makes you different?
I love to compete, the golf course is where I learn and grow. I also learned patience and humility, and some setbacks helped me change my way of training and gain some grit. I also love a good laugh and being part of a team which will be like a family for me is important.
Why do you want to compete in college?
Golf is my passion and equilibrium . I would like to go pro after my graduation and playing at a collegiate level where I can be challenged and improved is the next step. I also would like to achieve an academic degree, because it's important not to close all the options so soon in my life.
College Goals?
Bachelor in either Psychology (sports psychology) or Business. I would like to find an academically challenging college, where I could continue to learn.
Anything else we should know?
I love chocolate!
