About Athlete
My name is Corey Leumaga, I am completing my final year at Fountain Gate Secondary College. I’ve been playing Rugby since I was a kid and have also been participating in competitive Rugby tournaments. I’ve played rugby league since I was 7 to 14, then made a transition to Rugby Union at the age of 16 and have been playing union since. I aim to balance my Education and sporting through my last year at school. I am also the current Rugby captain for the 1st XV side for Fountain Gate Secondary college here in Melbourne.

My preferred positions are number 8 and flanker, I can also play lock.
I’ve been playing since the age of 7 and have enjoyed the sport since. I also participated in the state championships in 2017 for rugby league under 12s and played as prop. In 2022 I was selected in the Under 18 national championships for Victoria and was selected as a number 8. I’m fortunate enough to be included in the under 18s Melbourne Rebels academy for 2023.
I also have experience in sevens while participating in the Melbourne brothers program also winning the sevens tournament held at Ulladulla.
I also was a team player at Endeavour hills under 18s and played as a number 8, flanker and lock, we were fortunate enough to come out as champions for that season 2022.

What makes you different?
I am a team player that aims to improve my abilities and skills while also being able to push and help individuals and players around me.
Why do you want to compete in college?
I want to play rugby at a elite level, whilst also competing my studies around engineering or business.
I believe America colleges play sport at a very competitive level which I am very keen on experiencing.
College Goals?
To increase my performance and attributes.

I am on a current rugby scholarship on my last year at Fountain Gate Secondary college.
I also am a cultural leader at Fountain Gate Secondary College, which enables me to have leadership skills and cooperate well with peers and individuals.
