I started playing competitive golf at the age of 14 with a handicap of 23 and quickly progressed to a handicap of 5 in just over 2 years.
My aim is to develop my golfing ability and study my chosen
degree subject in the United States. Both my current exam results and golfing achievements clearly demonstrate that I am capable of achieving my goals both academically and in my sport.
Being recruited by a NCAA university I aim to be the best that I can be on the golf course or in the classroom. I love the competitiveness and pressure of the sport and those moments are where I can truly test myself.

My school team won our regional section of the England Schools championship. I shot 45 stableford points which led us to win that day and qualify for the national Schools championship at Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.
Additional sporting info
I played football up to the age of 13 where I played for my local football team, school and got to represent my County. When I was 13, I was selected by Cornwall scouts to represent them and to play in Germany.
I also enjoyed playing team games at secondary school including basketball and rugby.
What makes you different?
I am a driven, passionate, personable and outgoing athlete, and I will always try my best on and off the golf course. I am confident and a strong team player who will always aim to achieve the best for the team. I also aim to be a positive influence on my golf team through my determination, loyalty and hard work.
Why do you want to compete in college?
I believe that college golf is the perfect steppingstone to professional golf and the PGA tour. With four years at a college it will grant me with excellent coaching and training, whilst also enjoying college life. Going to a college will also give me the opportunity to work towards a degree of my choice which also opens a possible career path.
My golf college goal is to improve my game with my teammates and test myself against some of the best college players. I would love to leave college having put a positive impact on the college and be remembered by winning titles and trophies with my team. Academically, I also want to keep my grades high and leave with a degree in business, which I can use for the rest of my life.
Anything else we should know?
March 2020 I was awarded Junior vice-captain, and in March 2021 I will take over as junior captain of my local golf club, West Cornwall Golf Club. I am looking forward to the responsibility and the opportunity to help younger members of the club develop and improve.
