What makes you different?

What makes me different is the perseverance I put on things when I set my mind to it. If I have a goal I will work tirelessly to achieve it, even if it seems impossible. I won't stop until I accomplish my goal. For example, during COVID, I told myself I wanted to improve my goalkeeping skills and because we couldn’t train in the field, I convinced my mom to hire a goalkeeper coach. The training was at 7:00 am and even though I love to sleep, I woke up at 6:30 those days because I wanted to accomplish my goal.

Another thing that makes me different is that I am willing and I like to try new experiences. I like to experiment and “see how it goes”. Usually when I am facing a new challenge I tell myself: “you don't know if you are going to be good if you don't try it”. I also have an admirable capacity to find solutions to difficult problems.

To finalize I never get carried away by other people's thoughts. I like to analyze their opinions, investigate the topic and then see if I agree or not with them. However, that is not a problem when it comes to socializing with people because I can easily get along with anyone.

As a goalkeeper, I am very fast and though I am not tall, I am really good with the high shoots. I have very developed leadership skills that help me to organize the team when needed and I can easily connect with my other teammates which helps a lot with communication and also to create a nice environment in and outside the field.

Why do you want to compete in college?

Within my college experience, I would like to achieve good grades, get my degree and play for the college soccer team as a starter, without neglecting the academic area. I would also like to win championships with the team and personal awards. I would like to make good friends and get a scholarship.

College Goals?

I am looking to come to the US for college sports because I would like to become a professional soccer player and female soccer in my country, Peru, is not as developed as in the US. I also would like to experience the culture and learn as much as I can in a top university.

Anything else we should know?

I am a very artistic person, I love music, drawing and I play ukelele and guitar. I also love doing outdoor sports like: surfing, hiking, etc
