My name is Ivan Moreno. I’m a player from Maracaibo, Venezuela. I am currently in 10th grade; nonetheless, I’m already planning ahead for my college experience. My first language is Spanish; however, I’ve been studying at an international school (Escuela Bella Vista) during my lifetime. Due to this, I’ve mastered English, as a language, and I’m perfectly capable of learning in an American environment. In my school, the NHS (National Honor Society) program is offered, which I’m currently in. In this program, one has to apply its pillars to our day-to-day lives, which are: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. This has helped me, among many other things, to learn how to work with people in order to benefit others, no matter the circumstances. I’ve also participated in programs like MUN (Model United Nations), that, at the end of the day, teach you how to have a formal debate with others, whilst working with countries, around the world, to solve global problems. I currently have a GPA of 3.85, after my freshman year. I plan to have an even better year and finish off with a 4.00 GPA or higher; moreover, to do this, I will apply all of the skills I learned throughout my freshman year, whilst also taking into consideration the ongoing maturity that I’ve gained through the years. In my sport, I’ve participated in various tournaments, all around the country, in cities like Caracas, Maracay, Barquisimeto, Maracaibo, Valencia, and more. In my efforts, I’ve won several tournaments, whilst also getting many podiums. During my best years, I managed to come third on the national ranking of the FVG (Federacion Venezolana de Golf).
