My name is Johannes Flosi Runar Ingason and I’m a soccer player from Iceland. I believe that it’s a privilege to get the opportunity to go to the USA and play soccer while getting an undergraduate education. My objective is to play at a competitive level while getting a good undergraduate education. I’m a physical player with great leadership and defensive skills while also having good technical ability and fantastic work ethic skills. I’ve also always been a good student. I’m very focused and driven to achieve my goals and I might be the perfect player for your team.

What makes you different?
I've played in three clubs in Iceland at youth level and featured in all the leagues. This experience has taught me how important talent, unity, team spirit and dedication is to succeed on and off the pitch. I've got a UEFA C coaching license and a youth refereeing license. My first job as an assistant was when I was 13 years old. I've got tons of coaching experience which has taught me to be a leader and a role model, do independent work and to show initiative and make independent decisions.
Why do you want to compete in college?
I want to take my game to the next level and pursue my dreams as a soccer player while getting a great education. I want to be able to train under great circumstances with great coaches and players who'll help me push myself to become the best player and person I can be. Life in the USA is very exciting to me and I'd love to be able to experience the college life in the USA.
College Goals?
The dream will always be to play professional soccer after graduation but it would be awesome to be able to get a great job with my education if I will not be able to make it pro.
Anything else we should know?
Graduated as the valedictorian from elementary school, Fellaskóli, in 2020 with two academic awards: Natural Science and Icelandic. I also gave a speech at the graduation.
