My name is Luke Akerman and live in South Africa. I am 18 years old and am wanting to play golf and study in America in 2024. I am passionate about the game and have a good work ethic. I am keen to expose myself to a different culture and lifestyle. I’m strong off the tee and my putting is solid. I enjoy working on the technical aspects of my swing.

What makes you different?
I am a perfectionist and work hard at the technical aspect of my swing. I am passionate about the game and thrive under tournament pressure. I am disciplined about my practice regime and work with a lot of intensity and concentration. I have a supportive family who understands my obsession of golf.
I am able to put things into perspective and identify my weaknesses so that I can turn them into strengths.
Why do you want to compete in college?
I enjoy playing tournaments and I would ideally like to join a division 1 or 2 College. I like to extend myself and see progress.
