What makes you different?
As a national champion at a young age I have the knowledge and experience of highs and lows in the sport. I understand that success is not achieved overnight and takes years to develop. I have had wins and losses, personal bests and personal worsts along the way. I understand that I am in this for the long haul and success for me is constantly changing and evolving. As I work toward my ultimate goal of reaching the Olympics, I am prepared to work through the challenges I will face on my journey there.
Why do you want to compete in college?
NCAA offers a higher level of competition with more athletes than Canada offers. I want to be able to compete at a Div 1 level, compete more frequently, help a college win a NCAA championship, pursue a career in swimming and eventually go to the Olympics. American Universities offer so much more than Canadian Universities in terms of competition, scholarships, team travel, camaraderie, coaching and the pursuit of excellence in your dedicated sport, in my case swimming. The dedication, the excitement and the commitment to a high level of swimming and competition is what I am seeking.
College Goals?
An NCAA championship in 100 Fly, 200Fly and 400 IM while continuing to strive for earned spots on International Teams and well as an Olympic Team.
Graduate with an undergrad degree in that has prepared me for Law School / Graduate School.
