I’m originally from the North of England where I schooled at Carmel RC College of Education, with my family roots coming from Scotland and Italy. I have always had an interest in sports, having played cricket, tennis, hockey, basketball and ultimately rugby was my chosen sport.
In 2019 I moved to London as I wanted to look at building new relationships and network in a different environment as I had the opportunity to move regions and attend a London based sixth form college, to study business and continue playing rugby.
My passion for rugby started at a young age 5/6 as family enjoy the sport and we attended many lives games. I started my rugby career when I was 6 years old, with Mowden Park RFC (National league 1 England) in the mini’s, juniors and then colts. I also played rugby for my secondary school (Carmel). In both teams I was always in the starting 15 unless injured or away due to holidays/sickness and captained both teams in numerous occasions.
My aim is to excel in everything I do especially both my academic studies and my sporting activities. I do believe that when you put 110% into anything, you can achieve your goals. I have a great work ethic and I am proactive towards my goals.
As well having the motivation to work extremely hard in both attributes, I am also a team player and enjoy helping others to also achieve their goals. I feel rugby has helped me develop these skills and make me more mindful, which adds value when working in a team environment within an academic/sporting or business situation.
I wish to attend a USA university as I believe I have a lot to offer a university due to my academic experience, my achievements as an individual and also as a team member. My commitment to my studies and sport is first rate, this is demonstrated throughout my school and rugby career.University in the USA offers many benefits which is something I aim to tap into, I wish to study at the highest level possible while also playing rugby at the highest level open in the USA. Due to my capabilities and experience as a player I believe I can make a positive contribution to a university team from team captain experience to coaching and playing within a team.
