My name is Benedikt Pálmason and I live in Iceland. Born and raised in Garðabær, a suburb of Reykjavik where I have played soccer since 4 years old. I live with my parents and two brothers, Jakob (22) and Magnús (11) who are also soccer players. Besides soccer I truly enjoy spending time with family and friends and trying different types of sports such as golf, skiing and exercising. I have always been considered a team player and I give my all to every challenge. My favorite subjects in High School have been math, english and human studies. I look forward to acquiring a high quality education and playing soccer in the US at a high level.

Stjarnan FC youth has won the Icelandic championship year after year, and I have played a big role in that success. I have also played with Stjarnan FC at a professional level as a central defensive midfielder. I started as a centre back and transitioned to a central defensive midfielder at age 15.

Why do you want to compete in college?
Combining my education with playing soccer is first and foremost a privilege. Since I was very young, I have dreamed of matching my college expereince and playing soccer at a high level.
College Goals?
College is for me an opportunity to utilize my skillset and acquire a high-level education while meeting new people and capitalizing on my soccer background.
