Additional sporting info

I did not play much tennis between 2018 and 2020 due to injuries and then Covid restrictions. However, I am now attending Juan Carlos Ferrero academy in Spain for this academic year in order to intensify my training and give myself the opportunity to play the best tennis I can.

What makes you different?

I work extremely hard and do my best, I stretch myself to overcome any obstacle. Being a left-handed player, I think it gives me some competitive advantage. As I have played team sports in the past I know the importance of achieving individually in order to help the team. I believe in my abilities and talent to reach the highest level of tennis that is possible for me to succeed.

Why do you want to compete in college?

It is the combination of tennis competition, coaching and academic opportunity that I find attractive. It is the kind of challenge that I wish to pursue. I have also heard from friends that are currently in colleges in the USA that they really enjoy their time over there and get great sports competition along with outstanding schooling.

College Goals?

I wish to play for a competitive tennis team that I can help win matches and contribute to the college tennis team goals. I would like to obtain a university degree to set me on my professional career path in the area of maths/accounting.

Anything else we should know?

I have an interest in most sports and in particular, American Football and professional basketball (NBA). I played in my local clubs Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) both football and hurling and also basketball in addition to school’s rugby.
