What makes you different?
I have experience competing in a variety of events and distances. Therefore, I am versatile. Alongside being a committed runner I am also passionate about earning my degree. I feel that my experience in other sports, alongside consistent training, gives me an edge on my competition. Whilst competing in sports such as orienteering, field hockey and swimming I have obtained physical and tactical skills which others may lack.
Why do you want to compete in college?
Competing at the collegiate level would allow me to learn from my peers and coaches. I am excited to surround myself with like-minded athletes who I can study and train alongside. I believe that competing at college will be the first major step towards starting my professional career.
College Goals?
I want to use the resources available to me at the collegiate level to improve in hopes of making the U20 worlds for the 3km steeplechase in 2024.
Education
Havelock North High School
Havelock North High school is located on the east coast of New Zealand, and is a co-ed school with just over 1000 students. However, we had a strong 3-man running team which came 3rd in New Zealand at 2022 school nationals.
