My Name is Richard, I am 17 years old and I am a golfer from Germany, holding both British and German nationality. I am determined to develop my golf further in order to play golf on the PGA Tour. My goal with College golf is to combine my education with Golf in order to play against the best players in the world. I am very much a team player and always contribute positively to a group performance.

I play for the State of Nordrhein-Westphalen Golf Team as well as the Mens Team in the Kölner Golf Club.
EGR ranking: 1520 / DGV (Deutscher Golf Verband) Ranking: 30 (in June 2023)
I have also been selected for the Top Golf Squad (Spitzenkader) in the state of Nordrhein-Westphalen. This is a group of the best Junior players in the state, which is fully funded by the state. We train and practice together for 6 hours every Saturday as well as 2-4 hours within the week. As well as golf instruction by the top trainers in the area, we also get time and advice from Nutritionists, Physios, Mental Coaches and fitness coaches.
Personal Best
I currently hold the course record with 65 in Bonn-Godesberg (-6 Par) (Previous record was -3)
2nd place in the State competition in May 2023 with -2 after 2 days
What makes you different?
I always give 100% in everything I get involved with. I set high goals for myself and I will do anything possible to achieve these goals. I enjoy monitoring my progress and the process of getting better and my motivation thrives off of this. I have a good sense of humour and enjoy socialising. Over the years I have learnt to be patient on and off the golf course which has made me a better player. When I was younger, I used to play Football and Tennis, but I soon found out that Golf was my passion.
Why do you want to compete in college?
I want to play with and against the best players in the world and would like to support the team by winning Championships. I feel that being around high quality players and great coaching staff will enable me to reach my potential and achieve my goals.
College Goals?
I would love to grow as a person, improve my communication skills, as well as become a better person. I am looking forward to getting to know a new culture as well as create a stable foundation for my future by collecting as much experience as possible. This has been a dream of mine ever since I found out about College Golf. I think this is the right step to make to challenge myself and collect more experience.
Anything else we should know?
I love being around people, I enjoy listening to music because it helps me focus on my goals as well as relaxing me in stressful situations. I love traveling and discover new parts of the world as well as trying new foods.

St.Georges School Cologne
Private English International school in Cologne, Germany. I have been at St. Georges School for the past 11 years. I have successfully passed 8 IGCSE’s and I am now currently studying for an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program.
