About Athlete

My objective is to continue to grow academically and athletically during my college experience. I am willing to work hard in both the classroom and the pool to reach my goals of swimming at NCAA level. I believe I have the attributes of a successful swimmer and teammate for a future team!

I started swimming competitively at the age of 9 and represented Bermuda for the first time at age 12 at the Carifta Swimming Championships and have continued to participate in Carifta and CCCAN every year since, winning several medals at both events. I am currently a member of the Warwick Academy High Performance Swim Program (since 2017) and have participated in the Speedo Winter Championships in Plantation Florida and Eastern Championships in Pennsylvania representing my school team and again was a medalist at these events. I am a well-rounded swimmer and top student having just completed my GCSEs and am currently enrolled in the IB diploma program. My dream is to swim at a high level in the US while obtaining a top-level education with the eventual goal of going to law school.

What makes you different?

I think what makes me different from everyone else is my strong work ethic. I am truly passionate about swimming and because of that I am willing to do what it takes to improve as much as I can. I am also a more well-rounded swimmer, doing middle to long distance in freestyle, backstroke and butterfly.

Why do you want to compete in college?

I would like to compete in college because swimming at a high level with a big team has always been one of my biggest dreams. My school team currently has 9 members and I think that competing alongside and cheering for a team of that size would be exciting and a completely new challenge for me.

College Goals?

The main thing I am looking for in my college experience is to continue growing my education and to have new experiences with people from all over the world. Being from a small island you know who everyone is, and I am excited to have the chance to make new connections in another country. Additionally, swimming in college is very important to me to continue to improve and compete against strong athletes.

Anything else we should know?

I think we have covered a lot but I think that it's important to know that I am a really positive and bubbly person who always tries to see the brighter side of things: whether it be a hard set or a bad competition I am always looking to move past it and stay as positive as possible.
